﴿ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ يَعۡرُجُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥٓ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ ﴾
سورة السجدة
He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.
﴿ خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ ﴾
سورة الطارق
He was created from a spurting fluid,
﴿ حُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ ﴾
سورة الرحمن
Fair ones reserved in pavilions -
﴿ كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِيٓ إِلَيۡكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ﴾
سورة الشورى
This is how Allah, the Al-Mighty, the All-Wise, sends revelation to you [O Prophet] and to those before you.
﴿ أَوَلَمۡ يَنظُرُواْ فِي مَلَكُوتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٖ وَأَنۡ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ ٱقۡتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمۡۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
سورة الأعراف
Do they not look into the realm of the heavens and the earth and everything that Allāh has created and [think] that perhaps their appointed time has come near? So in what statement [i.e., message] hereafter will they believe?
﴿ فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرِحُواْ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ﴾
سورة غافر
When their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they exulted in whatever knowledge they had[20], and they were overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.
﴿ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ شَقُواْ فَفِي ٱلنَّارِ لَهُمۡ فِيهَا زَفِيرٞ وَشَهِيقٌ ﴾
سورة هود
As for those who are wretched, they will be in the Fire, wherein they will be moaning and gasping,
﴿ وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍ ﴾
سورة المطففين
and it will be mixed with water from the spring of Tasnīm[6],
﴿ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ ﴾
سورة آل عمران
They are the ones whose deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and for them there will be no helpers.
﴿ جَزَآءٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابٗا ﴾
سورة النبأ
