﴿ إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَلَا شُكُورًا ﴾
سورة الإنسان
[saying to themselves] “We feed you only for the sake of Allah; we seek from you neither reward nor gratitude.
﴿ وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٞ فَضَحِكَتۡ فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهَا بِإِسۡحَٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسۡحَٰقَ يَعۡقُوبَ ﴾
سورة هود
71. And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed [either, because the messengers did not eat their food or for being glad for the destruction of the people of Lût (Lot)]. But We gave her glad tidings of Ishâq (Isaac), and after Ishâq, of Ya‘qûb (Jacob).
﴿ لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ﴾
سورة الحجر
7. "Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful?"
﴿ إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
سورة الشعراء
We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers.”
﴿ مَتَٰعٞ قَلِيلٞ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ ﴾
سورة النحل
117. A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.
﴿ هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱدۡعُوهُ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَۗ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾
سورة غافر
65. He is the Ever Living, Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He); so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allâh’s sake only, and not to show off, and not setting up rivals with Him in worship). All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
﴿ وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ ﴾
سورة يس
74. And they have taken besides Allâh âlihah (gods), hoping that they might be helped (by those so-called gods).
﴿ وَإِذَا ٱلۡوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتۡ ﴾
سورة التكوير
and when wild beasts are gathered,
﴿ لِيَجۡزِيَ ٱللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا كَسَبَتۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ﴾
سورة إبراهيم
So that Allah may recompense every soul for what it did. Allah is swift in reckoning.
﴿ وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ﴾
سورة الواقعة
