(And remember) when Allâh showed them to you as few in your (i.e. Muhammad’s صلى الله عليه وسلم) dream; if He had shown them to you as many, you would surely have been discouraged, and you would surely have disputed in making a decision. But Allâh saved (you). Certainly, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.

سورة النساء
O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying[187] or in a state of janābah,[188] except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women [i.e., had sexual intercourse] and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allāh is ever Pardoning[189] and Forgiving.

سورة إبراهيم
The deeds of those who disbelieve[7] in their Lord are like ashes that are blown away by the wind on a stormy day. They will gain nothing from what they did; that is the farthest misguidance.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A place in Paradise as small as a bow is better than all that upon which the sun rises and sets."
Narrated by Bukhari
This Hadīth shows the great reward of the believers in Paradise as well as the worthlessness of this worldly life. It asserts that a space as small as a bow in Paradise is better than all bliss in this life, because the former is endlessly precious and everlasting. We implore Allah, the Almighty, to make us among the dwellers of Paradise!
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ''The son of Adam has been destined his share of fornication, which he will inevitably acquire. The eyes fornicate by looking, the ears fornicate by listening, the tongue fornicates by speaking, the hand fornicates by hitting, the foot fornicates by stepping. The heart loves and wishes. The genitals prove or disapprove that.’'
Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
Except for those whom Allah has protected, everyone ends up fornicating. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned examples of fornication. The eyes fornicate, i.e. when a man looks at a woman, even if not lustfully, who is not from his Mahrams, this is one kind of fornication. The ears fornicate by listening to and enjoying the voice of a woman. The hands fornicate by touching. The feet fornicate by going to a place of immorality, or following a woman that one unlawfully desires. The heart fornicates by being inclined to women. The genitals prove that when they commit real fornication. If they do not fornicate, then this will be disapproval of other organs’ fornication. From this, men should learn to be cautious not to get attached to women, listen to their voice, see them, touch them, pursue them, nor think of their seduction. These are types of fornication which every chaste and sensible man would resist.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are two types of the dwellers of Hellfire whom I have not seen: people with whips like the tails of cows with which they beat people, and women who will be dressed yet naked, inviting to evil, and they themselves are inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camels, inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise nor will they smell its fragrance; the fragrance that is smelled from such-and-such a distance."
Narrated by Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) warns against two types of people from the dwellers of Hellfire whom he did not see and who did not exist during his time; rather, they will come to exist afterwards. First type: They are people who have whips like the long tails of cows with which they beat people, and those are the policemen and the oppressors' soldiers who beat people wrongfully. Second type: They are women who have abandoned chastity and modesty, which usually constitute part of the woman's nature. Their description: Dressed in reality but naked in meaning because they wear transparent clothes that reveal the color of their skin; and they cover parts of their body and expose other parts to show their beauty. They cause men's hearts to be inclined to them by their clothes and swaggering gait. They walk while inclining their shoulders and invite others to deviation and aberration that they indulge in. Moreover, their heads are like the inclined hump of a camel, as they make their heads look larger and bigger by wrapping a scarf and the like around it. Their heads are likened to the humps of the Bactrian camels given the fact that they raise their hair and braids on top of their heads and these braids are inclined to one side of the head just like the camel's hump. Women who fit such a description are subject to this severe threat of not entering Paradise, or smelling its fragrance, or even approaching it although the fragrance of Paradise could be smelled from a far distance.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan."
Narrated by Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs in this Hadīth that bells that are hung on animals are one of the musical instruments of Satan whereby he distracts people from the purpose for which they were created. As for the bells used for alerting people, the Standing Committee gave this Fatwa: "The bells used in houses, schools, and the like are permissible unless they involve something prohibited, like being similar to church bells or producing a musical sound, in which case they would be prohibited."
‘Ali reported: Indeed I am a man who, when hearing a Hadīth from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), Allah benefitted me thereby as much as He willed for me to benefit thereby. When a man from his Companions narrates some Hadīth to me, I ask him to swear upon it, when he swears, I believe him. And Abu Bakr narrated to me - and Abu Bakr told the truth; he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no man who commits a sin, then gets up and performs Tahārah (ritual purification), then performs prayer, then seeks forgiveness from Allah, except that Allah forgives him." Then, he recited this verse: {And those who, when they commit a shameful act or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins.} [Surat Āl ‘Imrān: 135]
Narrated by Abu Daoud & At-Termedhy & Ahmad & Ibn Majah & An-Nasa'i in Major Sunan
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that no one commits a sin, then makes a perfect ablution, then gets up and offers two Rak‘ahs (units of prayer) with the intention of repenting of this sin, then asks Allah to forgive him, except that Allah will forgive him. Then, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recited the verse in which Allah Almighty says: {And those who, when they commit a shameful act or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – who can forgive sins except Allah? – and they do not persist in what they did knowingly.} [Surat Āl ‘Imrān: 135]
Jundub ibn ‘Abdullāh al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among those who were before you, there was a man who was injured. He was impatient so he took a knife and made a cut in his hand and bled to death. Allah, the Exalted, said: 'My servant hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise to him.'"
Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) told his companions about a man from the past nations who had an injury that caused him much pain. He lost hope in Allah's mercy and healing and did not bear the pain in hope for Allah's reward, because he had weak faith and certainty. Therefore, he took a knife, cut his hand, and bled to death. So, Allah, the Exalted, said (what means): My servant did not wait for my mercy and healing, and could not endure the affliction that I tested him with, so he committed the sinful crime of taking his own life ahead of the time I appointed for him. Therefore, I made Paradise forbidden for him. Anyone who is forbidden Paradise will end up in Hellfire. There is no doubt that the action of that man was already known to Allah, the Exalted, as part of His prior knowledge, His will, and His decree.
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘ās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He does not belong to us who does not show mercy to our young and honor our old."
Narrated by At-Termedhy - Narrated by Abu Daoud - Narrated by Ahmad
A Muslim is not compliant with the Sunnah of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) if he is not merciful to the younger members of the community by treating them with compassion and jolliness. The same is true if he does not treat the older members of the community with due respect and veneration. The expression "he does not belong to us" is intended as a warning and threat, not that such conduct actually takes the person out of the fold of Islam.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man set out to visit a brother (in faith) in another town, so Allah sent an angel to wait for him on his way. When he met the angel, the latter said: 'Where are you going?' He said: 'I am going to visit my brother in this town.' The angel said: 'Are you returning a favor?' He said: 'No, only that I love him for the sake of Allah, the Exalted.' Thereupon the angel said: 'I am a messenger from Allah to you to tell you that Allah loves you as you love him for His sake.'"
Narrated by Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recounts that a man from the past nations set out to visit a brother in faith in another town. Allah, the Exalted, sent an angel to watch over him and protect him on the way. The angel asked him where he was going. The man said that he was going to visit a brother in religion in that town. So the angel asked if that was his slave, son, dependent, or someone whom he benefits from or whom he owes a favor. The man replied in the negative, saying that he only loved that person for the sake of Allah and wished to gain the pleasure of Allah by visiting him. Thereupon, the angel told him that he was a messenger from Allah to tell him that Allah loves him just as he loves his brother for the sake of Allah.
Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The needy is not the one who can be turned away with a date-fruit or two, or a morsel or two. But, the needy is the one who abstains from begging."
Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
This Hadīth clarifies the true meaning of poverty and informs that a praiseworthy needy who deserves charity more, is the one who abstains from begging. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not consider the one who goes around and begs a real needy, because he takes what suffices him and may receive Zakah, ending his poverty. However, the need of someone who does not beg continues because he does not receive things through begging and asking people.
Ibn ‘Abbās and ‘Imrān ibn al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I looked into Paradise and found that the majority of its people are the poor, and I looked into the Fire and found that the majority of its people are women.”
Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) relates that he had a look into Paradise and found that the majority of its people are the poor, because they do not have the means to commit transgression, so they are submissive and humble. One thoughtful and deep look into the verses of the Qur'an would reveal that those who deny the messengers are the prestigious and wealthy people, as opposed to the weak who follow the messengers, and hence they constituted the majority of the people of Paradise. The Hadīth by no means implies that each single poor individual is better than each single wealthy person. It rather denotes that the poor, in general, are more in Paradise than the wealthy. It is not poverty that caused them to enter Paradise, despite the fact that it made their reckoning easier. Instead, it was their righteousness along with poverty. The poor is not at all better than the wealthy if he is not righteous in the first place. Furthermore, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) relates that he also saw Hellfire and found that the majority of its inhabitants are women, because they have some bad habits that dominate their demeanor like being ungrateful to their husbands besides the fact that they curse a lot. Therefore, it is imperative that they preserve their religion to be saved from Hellfire.
