So We saved him and his family, all,

﴿ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَدۡخُلُواْ بُيُوتَ ٱلنَّبِيِّ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡذَنَ لَكُمۡ إِلَىٰ طَعَامٍ غَيۡرَ نَٰظِرِينَ إِنَىٰهُ وَلَٰكِنۡ إِذَا دُعِيتُمۡ فَٱدۡخُلُواْ فَإِذَا طَعِمۡتُمۡ فَٱنتَشِرُواْ وَلَا مُسۡتَـٔۡنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمۡ كَانَ يُؤۡذِي ٱلنَّبِيَّ فَيَسۡتَحۡيِۦ مِنكُمۡۖ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَسۡتَحۡيِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ وَإِذَا سَأَلۡتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَٰعٗا فَسۡـَٔلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٖۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ أَطۡهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمۡ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّۚ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُؤۡذُواْ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَن تَنكِحُوٓاْ أَزۡوَٰجَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦٓ أَبَدًاۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمۡ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمًا

سورة الأحزاب

O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that [behavior] was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of [dismissing] you. But Allāh is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allāh or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allāh an enormity.

﴿ وَإِذۡ يُرِيكُمُوهُمۡ إِذِ ٱلۡتَقَيۡتُمۡ فِيٓ أَعۡيُنِكُمۡ قَلِيلٗا وَيُقَلِّلُكُمۡ فِيٓ أَعۡيُنِهِمۡ لِيَقۡضِيَ ٱللَّهُ أَمۡرٗا كَانَ مَفۡعُولٗاۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ

سورة الأنفال

44. And (remember) when you met (the army of the disbelievers on the Day of the battle of Badr), He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allâh might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), and to Allâh return all matters (for decision).

﴿ ۞ لَيۡسُواْ سَوَآءٗۗ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أُمَّةٞ قَآئِمَةٞ يَتۡلُونَ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَهُمۡ يَسۡجُدُونَ

سورة آل عمران

Yet all are not alike: there are some among the People of the Book who are upright[54]; they recite the verses of Allah during the night and they prostrate.

﴿ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةٞ

سورة الحاقة

And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].

﴿ ۞ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوۡاْ قَوۡمًا غَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِم مَّا هُم مِّنكُمۡ وَلَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَيَحۡلِفُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَذِبِ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ

سورة المجادلة

Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allāh has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know [they are lying].

﴿ وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِۦٓۗ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِي وَهُمۡ لَكُمۡ عَدُوُّۢۚ بِئۡسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلٗا

سورة الكهف

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from [i.e., disobeyed] the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.

﴿ فَٱصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِل لَّهُمۡۚ كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّن نَّهَارِۭۚ بَلَٰغٞۚ فَهَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ

سورة الأحقاف

35. Therefore be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as did the Messengers of strong will[5] and be in no haste about them (disbelievers). On the Day when they will see that (torment) with which they are promised (i.e. threatened, it will be) as if they had not stayed more than an hour in a single day. (O mankind! this Qur’ân is sufficient as) a clear Message (or proclamation to save yourself from destruction). But shall any be destroyed except the people who are Al-Fâsiqûn (the rebellious against Allâh’s Command, the disobedient to Allâh)?

﴿ إِذۡ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ

سورة الصافات

140. When he ran to the laden ship:

﴿ وَعَلَّمۡنَٰهُ صَنۡعَةَ لَبُوسٖ لَّكُمۡ لِتُحۡصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأۡسِكُمۡۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُمۡ شَٰكِرُونَ

سورة الأنبياء

And We taught him[33] the art of making coats of mail for you to protect yourselves in your battle. Will you then be grateful?

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed over a grave after he had been buried, making four Takbīrs.

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was created with good manners, such as mercy and compassion. Whenever he missed any of his Companions, he would ask about him and check his condition. He asked about a man, and the Companions told him that he had passed away. So he wished that they would have told him so that he could have prayed over him, for the Prophet's prayer would bring tranquility to the dead and dispel the darkness in which a deceased lies. As the man was already buried, the Prophet prayed over his grave in the same way he would pray over a dead person who was not yet buried. It should be noted that the Prophet's prayer over the grave does not mean that he stood over it. Rather, he stood next to it while facing it and performed the funeral prayer.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite two Sūrahs to read in the Fajr prayer on Friday: Sūrat As-Sajdah and Sūrat al-Insān.

It was the practice of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to recite in the Dawn Prayer on Friday the whole of Sūrat As-Sajdah in the first Rak‘ah after reciting Sūrat al-Fātihah. In the second Ra‘kah, he would recite the whole of Sūrat al-Insān. He used to recite these two Sūrahs to remind Muslims of the great events of the past, such as the creation of Adam, and the great events that will happen, including the resurrection, the gathering of people, and other events that will take place on the Day of Judgment.

‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to spend consecutive nights with an empty stomach, and his household would find no supper, and their bread was mostly made of of barley.

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) as well as his wives and dependents, used to go to sleep for several nights in a row without eating because they would not find any food for supper. Most of their bread was from barley, which was cheaper than wheat and other grains.

Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I visited the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in pain because of fever, so I touched him and said: "You are in great pain from raging fever." He said: "Indeed, the pain I feel from fever is like the pain that two men from among you might get."

Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) recalls that he visited the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in pain from acute sickness. He stretched out his hand and said: "O Messenger of Allah, you are severely sick." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed him that his sickness is as severe as the sickness of two men among them so that he would achieve the highest degree of patience.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A group from among the Prophet's Companions asked the wives of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about his deeds in private. Some of them said: I will not marry women. Others said: I will not eat meat. Some others said: I will not sleep on a bed. So, he praised Allah and commended Him and said: "What is the matter with those people who said such-and-such? But indeed, I pray and sleep, I fast and break the fast, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah does not belong to me."

A group of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) asking about his private acts of worship inside his home. When they were informed, it seemed as though they considered it little, so they said: Where are we in comparison to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)? His past and future sins have been forgiven, unlike those who do not know if they have attained forgiveness, so they need to exaggerate in worship in the hope of attaining it. Then some of them said: I will not marry women. Others said: I will not eat meat. Some others said: I will not sleep on a bed. When this reached the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), he became angry and gave a sermon to the people. He praised Allah and commended Him and said: What is the matter with people who said such-and-such? By Allah, I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most conscious of Him, but I sleep to strengthen myself for standing in prayer, I break my fast to strengthen myself for fasting, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my way, sees perfection in something else, and follows a path other than that of mine does not belong to me.

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he used to be more generous than ever in Ramadan when Gabriel (Jibrīl) would meet him. He used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur'an with him. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was more generous than the fast wind.

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was the most generous of people, and his generosity was more intense in the month of Ramadan when he would give what was appropriate to those who were worthy of that. His increased generosity was caused by two things: First: His meeting with Gabriel (peace be upon him). Second: Revising the Qur’an, which is to recite it by heart. Gabriel (peace be upon him) would revise all that was revealed of the Qur’an with him. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was more generous, more giving, more intense in doing good, and faster in bringing benefit to the people than a good wind sent by Allah with rain and mercy.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah did not send a prophet except that he tended sheep." His Companions said: "And you?" He said: "Yes, I used to tend sheep for the people of Makkah in return for some Qirāts."

All prophets tended sheep sometime during their life, and the apparent meaning of the Hadīth indicates that this was before their being prophets. Scholars said that the wisdom behind this (i.e. herding sheep) is for a person to be trained to look after people and direct them to what is good for them; because a shepherd sometimes directs the flock to the pasture, and sometimes keeps them standing still, and other times takes them back to the pasture. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was being prepared for taking care of the Ummah and directing it to all what is good, based upon knowledge, guidance and insight; just as the shepherd who has knowledge of the best pastures, and sincerely directs the sheep to wherever there is good, nourishment and water for them. Sheep were chosen in particular because the one who tends sheep possesses the traits of tranquility, calmness and serenity, unlike the ones who tend camels, and who are mostly harsh and tough, because camels are harsh and tough too. That is why Allah, Glorified and Exalted, chose for His messengers to be shepherds to be trained and accustomed to taking care of people.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one greets me except that Allah restores my soul to me so that I return his greeting."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs that his soul is restored to him to return the greeting of whoever greets him, whether he is near or far. Life in the Barzakh (the period between death and resurrection) and the grave is a matter of the unseen, and no one knows its reality except Allah, Who is Competent over all things.

‘Ā’ishah, Mother of the Believers, (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was never given a choice between two things except that he would choose the easier of the two unless it were a sin. If it were a sin, he would be the farthest of people from it. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never took revenge for himself, but when the prohibitions of Allah were violated, he would take revenge for the sake of Allah.

‘Ā’ishah, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), informed about some of the morals of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Among what she mentioned was that whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was given a choice between two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, as long as the easier option did not lead to sin. If it led to sin, he would be the farthest of people from it and would then choose the more difficult option. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never sought revenge for himself exclusively; rather, he would forgive and overlook his own rights. But when the sanctities of Allah were violated, he would seek revenge for the sake of Allah, and he was the most intense in anger for the sake of Allah.

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) - who fought along with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in twelve battles - reported: I heard four things from the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) that appealed to me. He said: "No woman should travel on a two-day-distant journey except with her husband or a Mahram. There should be no fasting on two days: Al-Fitr and Al-Ad'ha. There should be no prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises nor after the ‘Asr prayer until the sun sets. No special journey should be made except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque of mine."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade four things: First: Forbidding a woman from traveling on a two-day-distant journey without her husband or one of her Mahram men, those who are permanently forbidden to marry her from among her relatives like the son, father, nephew, maternal or paternal uncle, etc. Second: Forbidding fasting on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Ad'ha, whether a Muslim fasts them in fulfillment of a vow, voluntarily, or as an expiation. Third: Forbidding voluntary prayer after the ‘Asr prayer until sunset and after the rise of dawn until sunrise. Fourth: Forbidding traveling to a certain place while believing in its merit and the multiplication of rewards therein except to these three mosques. So, no special journey should be made to other mosques to pray therein, as the reward is multiplied only in these three mosques, namely the Sacred Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and the Aqsa Mosque.

Whoever feels remorse for a sin, Allah will guide him to repentance and help him fulfill it.
