﴿ وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ﴾
سورة الضحى
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
﴿ نِسَآؤُكُمۡ حَرۡثٞ لَّكُمۡ فَأۡتُواْ حَرۡثَكُمۡ أَنَّىٰ شِئۡتُمۡۖ وَقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّكُم مُّلَٰقُوهُۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
سورة البقرة
Your wives are a [place of] tillage for you, so come to your tillage as you please[117], and send forth something good for yourselves. Fear Allah and know that you will meet Him, and give glad tidings to the believers.”
﴿ وَقَالُوٓاْ ءَأَٰلِهَتُنَا خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ هُوَۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلَۢاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ خَصِمُونَ ﴾
سورة الزخرف
58. And say: "Are our âlihah (gods) better or is he [‘Îsâ (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. (See V. 21:98-101)
﴿ ۞ وَلَقَدۡ كَرَّمۡنَا بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٖ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَا تَفۡضِيلٗا ﴾
سورة الإسراء
And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.
﴿ قَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٞ فِي فِئَتَيۡنِ ٱلۡتَقَتَاۖ فِئَةٞ تُقَٰتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخۡرَىٰ كَافِرَةٞ يَرَوۡنَهُم مِّثۡلَيۡهِمۡ رَأۡيَ ٱلۡعَيۡنِۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ ﴾
سورة آل عمران
There has been a sign for you in the two groups who confronted each other: one fighting for the cause of Allah, and the other disbelievers; they saw them, with their own eyes twice their number[7]. But Allah strengthens with His help whom He wills. There is a lesson in this for those who have insight.
﴿ فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡخِزۡيَ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
سورة الزمر
Therefore Allah gave them a taste of disgrace in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter will be far greater, if only they knew.
﴿ فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ ﴾
سورة الحاقة
19. Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Here! read my Record!
﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ فِي ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةٗۖ وَلَأَجۡرُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
سورة النحل
Those who migrated for the sake of Allah after being oppressed[25], We will surely give them good in this world. But the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they knew,
﴿ ٱلَّذِينَ يُظَٰهِرُونَ مِنكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِهِم مَّا هُنَّ أُمَّهَٰتِهِمۡۖ إِنۡ أُمَّهَٰتُهُمۡ إِلَّا ٱلَّٰٓـِٔي وَلَدۡنَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ مُنكَرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ وَزُورٗاۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٞ ﴾
سورة المجادلة
Those who pronounce ẓihār[1639] among you [to separate] from their wives - they are not [consequently] their mothers. Their mothers are none but those who gave birth to them. And indeed, they are saying an objectionable statement and a falsehood. But indeed, Allāh is Pardoning and Forgiving.
﴿ وَإِذَا ٱلۡوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتۡ ﴾
سورة التكوير
and when wild beasts are gathered,
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself."
Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) pointed out that no Muslim attains complete Imān until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself, among the acts of worship and types of goodness in terms of the religion and the life of this world, and hates for his brother what he hates for himself. If he sees a deficiency in the religious commitment of his brother, he strives to reform it, and if he finds goodness in him, he guides and helps him and renders sincere advice to him as regards his religious and worldly matters.
Jarīr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He who is deprived of gentleness is deprived of goodness."
Narrated by Muslim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs that whoever is deprived of gentleness and is not guided to it concerning religious and worldly matters, and in what he does for himself and what he does with others, has been deprived of all goodness.
Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Injustice will be excessive darkness on the Day of Judgment.’" Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Fear injustice, for indeed, injustice will be excessive darkness on the Day of Judgment. And fear miserliness, for it destroyed those who were before you.'"

Both of these Hadīths are proofs of the impermissibility of injustice. The injustice mentioned in the Hadīth refers to all its types of injustice, including polytheism. The Hadīth state that injustice will be an excessive darkness that overwhelms its perpetrator on the Day of Judgment, in such a way that he will not be guided to a path. In the second Hadīth, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And fear miserliness, for it destroyed those who were before you." This statement gives a warning against miserliness, explaining that if it prevails in a community it is considered a sign of its destruction. This is because miserliness is one of the causes of injustice, transgression, aggression, and bloodshed.
‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reviling a Muslim is Fusūq (deobedience) and fighting him is Kufr (disbelief)."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the Muslim from cursing and reviling his Muslim brother, stating that this is an act of Fusūq, which means disobeying Allah and His Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and fighting his Muslim brother is an act of Kufr, yet it is minor Kufr.
Abu ad-Dardā’ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is nothing heavier on the believer's scale on the Day of Judgment than good morals. Indeed, Allah detests the one who is indecent and foulmouthed."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that the heaviest thing, among deeds and sayings, on the believer's scale on the Day of Judgment is good morals represented in having a cheerful face, refraining from harming others and doing good to others. Allah Almighty hates the one who is ugly in his deeds and words, the foulmouthed who uses offensive language.
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Ās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is one of the major sins when a man abuses his parents." It was asked: "Would a man ever abuse his parents?" He replied: "Yes. He abuses the father of another man, who in return abuses his father, and he abuses his mother, and so the latter abuses the former’s mother."

This Hadīth points out the great rights and status enjoyed by one’s parents, and it informs that it is a major sin to cause them to be offended or abused by others. If this is the case, then it is far more reprehensible for a person to directly abuse his own parents by himself. When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stated that cursing one’s parents is a major sin, the attendees were quite surprised to hear that, presuming that a man would never do so. Thereupon, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) explained to them that this could happen indirectly by causing others to revile one’s parents; when a person curses the father and mother of someone else, and the latter responds in kind.
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever listens to the talk of some people while they dislike that, molten lead shall be poured into his ears on the Day of Judgment."
Al-Bukhari with a similar wording
This Hadīth contains a severe warning to those who listen to the talk of others while they dislike that. Indeed, this is a bad manner amounting to a major sin. So, like fault, like punishment. Since a person commits this sin with his ears, he shall be punished in his ears: by the pouring of molten lead therein. This applies regardless of whether the talking people’s dislike is based on a valid reason or not. In fact, some people dislike that others should listen to their conversations even if they say nothing shameful, wrong, or unlawful. They just do not like to be heard by anyone.
Abu ad-Dardā’ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, the cursers will not be witnesses or intercessors on the Day of Judgment."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that whoever frequently and unjustly curses others deserves two punishments: First: He will not be a witness on the Day of Judgment over the nations that the divine messages were conveyed to them through their messengers; his testimony will not be accepted in this world due to his defiant disobedience; and he will not be granted martyrdom, which is dying in the way of Allah. Second: He will not be able to intercede on the Day of Judgment when the believers intercede for their brothers who have deserved the Hellfire.
‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man will keep telling the truth and strive to tell the truth until he is recorded with Allah as the most truthful. Beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to Hellfire. A man will keep telling lies and strive to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a persistent liar."

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) enjoined truthfulness and informed that adherence to it leads to constant good deeds. Persistence in doing good deeds leads the doer to Paradise, and he continues to adopt truthfulness in secret and public and deserves to be labeled as most truthful - this is extreme truthfulness. Then, he (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) warned of lying and false speech, for it prompts a person to deviate from uprightness and to engage in evil, corruption, and sins; then, it leads him to Hellfire. He continues to tell more and more lies until he is recorded with Allah among the liars.
Mu‘awiyah ibn Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to him who speaks and tells lies so as to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!"

This Hadīth includes severe warning against lying, and a promise of destruction for the person who tells lies for the sake of joking and making people laugh. This is one of the most abominable acts, and it is strictly forbidden. It belongs to evil manners that the believer must shun and deem himself far above it. A believer should purify his tongue from lying in all situations, except in the few situations in which lying is justified in the Shariah. Just as it is prohibited to tell lies for the sake of joking, it is also prohibited to listen to such lies they are known to be as such. Rather, it is an obligation on the listeners to express their disapproval of it.
If someone intends to do a good deed but was prevented by a valid excuse, he shall gain the reward of his intention.

Variation of reward for good deeds is based on sincerity and following of the Prophet’s guidance. The more a person is sincere to Allah, and the keener he is on following the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), the more perfect his worship will be, and consequently his reward will be bigger.

People differ with regards to their acts of worship according to their intentions. The intentions of some people have reached the ultimate level of sincerity (to Allah) and keenness in following the Sunnah (of the Messenger of Allah) with regard to doing good and righteous deeds, while the intentions of others are below that.

Anyone partaking a role with transgressors and wrongdoers will share their punishment because it is inclusive.

Love and contentment is measured by good deeds and intentions because they are the criteria for Allah’s acceptance of the servant; perhaps a small deed reaps great reward because of the intention behind it and perhaps a big deed reaps little reward because of the intention behind it

One of the proofs Allah supports the servant is the latter’s sincere endeavor to rectify his intention and purify his heart by good deeds.
